PRK

PRK “photo-refractivekeratectomy” is another type of laser vision correction that also uses a laser beam to correct vision. In PRK laser surgery the top layer of the cornea or the “epithelium” is removed after the laser surgery the epithelium is left to heal on its own and a contact lens acts as a bandage. The PRK procedure has a longer healing time than LASIK and is more uncomfortable.
